Larry Martin A Gig Harbor resident and Northwest fixture in the woodcarving community, Larry Martin has been carving since the mid-1980s. In 1995 Larry began carving birds. Since that time, bird carving continues to be one of Larry's passions and challenges. Larry is a frequent program presenter for the Northwest Carvers Association as well as for other carving clubs and associations in the area. He teaches weekly bird carving classes, and remarks that he can focus on a piece being carved and all the stress of the day lifts and is gone.
